ORDER FULFILLMENT FOR CHEMICAL PRODUCTS
A national manufacturer of chemical ingredients needed a regional warehousing and order fulfillment partner. The partner had to be capable of storing products, managing inventory, and filling orders for fast shipment.
Solution: Brexis Courier serves as the Midwest region’s distribution hub for the client. Email orders from the region’s customers are forwarded to Brexis who then picks and packs the appropriate products for delivery. Brexis also maintains and submits periodic inventory reports to the client. When inventory drops to the restocking level, Brexis receives and processes a new bulk shipment from the client for warehousing. The new arrangement is automated, efficient, and cost-effective.
WAREHOUSING, PACK, SHIP AND REFURBISH
A small business owner needed more space for storing special tables and display booths that were used for trade shows.
Solution: Brexis Courier now stores the tables and booths. Just prior to each trade show, Brexis cleans and packs the tables and booths, ships them to the trade show site, and processes them back into inventory upon their return. This owner no longer has to deal with the headaches associated with packing and shipping, or tackle the challenges of storing.
WAREHOUSE, SHIP AND REFURBISH TRADE SHOW KIOSKS
A national healthcare company regularly ships computer kiosks to healthcare shows around the country. They were plagued with damages to the equipment incurred during shipment, and spent a substantial amount of time orchestrating the logistics of the equipment shipments.
Solution: Brexis Courier now warehouses the kiosks. Prior to shipping to a show, the Brexis technical team loads the kiosks with the latest software, makes sure the systems are in proper working order, and then manages the packing and shipping of the equipment. After the show, the staff repacks the equipment for safe return to the warehouse. Given Brexis’ familiarity with the customer’s operations, Brexis was also able to suggest ways to convert the equipment from floor stand mounts to a desktop setup, thereby saving the customer money, and making it easier and safer to ship.
REPAIR AND RETURN CENTER FOR COMPUTER REPAIR
A major international manufacturer of computer equipment needed a location in the Chicago region for receiving, distributing, and holding replacement parts inventory for its return and repair service. The computer company had also spent an inordinate amount of time dealing with discrepancies between their records and the repair personnel’s records for new parts shipped and bad parts returned.
The solution: Brexis Courier now serves as a central location for shipping and receiving new and defective parts. Repair personnel can quickly accept new parts, enact repairs, and ship refurbished product. Replaced parts are also quickly return-shipped to the manufacturer. To solve the returns inventory problem, Brexis created a custom tracking system for incoming and returned parts. The new system has cut discrepancies down from thousands of dollars per week to nearly zero.
